Week 8 - My Great Expectations for This Week

This was a crazy week. My expectations of getting my essay done ahead of time didn't work out. It seemed as if everytime I had a chance to sit down to write my essay, a child would need my attention! My essay got accomplished one baby step at a time! Even though I had already picked the poem I wanted to write the essay on and had wrote down my ideas for it's interpretation; it still needed to be written. Luckily I did get it done and I feel pretty good about it, but I'm sure it could have been better had I been able to spend more time on it. Since I spent most of my extra time writing my essay, I barely had time to grace the pages of Great Expectations and I still have 200 more pages to go. I usually enjoy Dicken's work, but I must admit this one has been a challenge. I remember liking this story when I was in high school but also remember it took me awhile to warm up to it.
